FAQs
Questions, answered
Everything most people want to know before their first class. Anything else, just email the studio.
- Do I need any Pilates experience to join?
- No. Reformer Foundations is designed for complete beginners: you'll learn how the machine works and the basics of breath, alignment and control before moving on to other classes.
- How do I book a class?
- Email us at rx.pilates.2026@gmail.com with the class you'd like to join and your preferred times, and we'll reply to confirm your space.
- What should I wear and bring?
- Wear comfortable, fitted clothing you can move freely in. Grip socks are recommended for the reformer. Bring water; everything else is provided.
- What's the difference between reformer and mat Pilates?
- Mat Pilates uses your own bodyweight and small props. The reformer is a machine with springs and a moving carriage that adds resistance and support, allowing a wider range of exercises and more precise feedback.
- Which class should I take first?
- If you're new to Pilates or to the reformer, start with Reformer Foundations. If you already train on a reformer, Reformer Flow or Reformer Sculpt will suit you depending on how much challenge you want.
- Where is the studio?
- RX Pilates is at 135 Saint Pauls Avenue, Harrow HA3 9PT, in north-west London. See the Contact page for a map link.
