FAQs

Questions, answered

Everything most people want to know before their first class. Anything else, just email the studio.

Do I need any Pilates experience to join?
No. Reformer Foundations is designed for complete beginners: you'll learn how the machine works and the basics of breath, alignment and control before moving on to other classes.
How do I book a class?
Email us at rx.pilates.2026@gmail.com with the class you'd like to join and your preferred times, and we'll reply to confirm your space.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable, fitted clothing you can move freely in. Grip socks are recommended for the reformer. Bring water; everything else is provided.
What's the difference between reformer and mat Pilates?
Mat Pilates uses your own bodyweight and small props. The reformer is a machine with springs and a moving carriage that adds resistance and support, allowing a wider range of exercises and more precise feedback.
Which class should I take first?
If you're new to Pilates or to the reformer, start with Reformer Foundations. If you already train on a reformer, Reformer Flow or Reformer Sculpt will suit you depending on how much challenge you want.
Where is the studio?
RX Pilates is at 135 Saint Pauls Avenue, Harrow HA3 9PT, in north-west London. See the Contact page for a map link.
